We’re proud to share that Seymour’s Wrecker Service is featured in this month’s issue of American Towman Magazine & Expositions. It’s an honor to have our team and equipment recognized for the work we do every day.

On April 22, our crew responded to a tanker loaded with phosphate that had taken a wrong turn and slid into a pond. Nearly 80,000 pounds were stuck in the mud, and it was going to take precision, planning, and the right equipment to bring it back safely.

Our NRC 65-ton CSR65 Composite Sliding Rotator, operated by supervisor Justin Blackburn, was brought in to handle the recovery. The team rigged with a spreader bar, 10-foot endless loops, and 3/4-inch rim slings before lifting and leveling the trailer. From there, we rotated the unit back toward the roadway, repositioned for multiple picks, and slid the trailer through a 90-degree turn across the dam.

Once the rotator was on scene, the entire recovery took about an hour. We’re proud of our crew for their skill, teamwork, and commitment to doing the job right.
